I stumbled across this in my YouTube feed yesterday:
and couldn’t help thinking “He said the quiet part out loud!”
I’m guessing my cloud colleagues won’t appreciate me repeating it, but the reality is, a non trivial amount of our time in HPC cloud projects is spent avoiding cloud (read vendor) lock in.
It becomes especially critical when regulators start asking questions about concentration risk on a single cloud…
