HMx Labs Doubles Down on Data

Following the announcement on the official launch of the HMx Labs website, we’re excited to share more about our sharpened focus and the depth of our commitment in the data space.
As we solidify our positioning beyond HPC, it’s clear that data is the unifying thread across all our work. One of the most significant examples of this is our long-standing relationship with Waltz, the open-source enterprise architecture tool originally developed with Deutsche Bank.
I’ve been deeply involved with Waltz since its inception; designing, engineering, and helping organisations across the financial sector adopt and scale it effectively. Now through HMx Labs, this continues that work with a broader vision.
Today, HMx Labs is proud to take a more active role in the Waltz community, not only contributing code and insights, but also working closely with the FINOS community and participating in the monthly working group meetings to help shape the future of the tool. This isn’t just about tooling, it’s about enabling open, scalable, and vendor-neutral data strategy for enterprises that need to adapt fast and act with confidence.
Our involvement reflects more than just technical capability, it signals our strategic investment in Open Source, our belief in vendor-neutral solutions, and our commitment to building real-world outcomes through collaborative development. As interest in data architecture, lineage, governance, and AI-readiness accelerates, we believe tools like Waltz are more important than ever.
And we’re here to help organisations make the most of them.
We’ll be publishing detailed case studies and success stories in the coming weeks, showcasing the results we’ve helped clients achieve at scale.
