Updates to AWS, Azure & GCP in the last week relevant for HPC practitioners. AWS have some new EC2 instance types…
Before we get into the actual updates this week, a question for you all. Does this format work for you? Would you prefer something based on aws-news.com if that was possible? Like this for example

Would it have to support all three major clouds (maybe others too)? Or would it be okay to just use it for the AWS section? I’d like to hear your thoughts!

New storage optimised i8ge instances running on Graviton are now available
New Intel Xeon 6 based m8i and m8i-flex based instances are GA too
New Regional EC2 Types: c8gn in N. California, c7i in Osaka, g6 in the UAE
Azure
Its benchmarking of an AI model but apparently that’s still HPC so I figure I’ll get with the program. The actual benchmark results may still be useful even you don’t care about running AI models though I guess
