Quantum #37

Issue #37 of the weekly HPC newsletter by HMx Labs.

Quantum #37

We’re now in a post SC24 era. Or is that a pre SC25? Perhaps it’s a bit of a Schrodinger’s cat situation and it may be pre HPC Club depending on if the observer has a ticket or not? If you don’t have a ticket, DM me. I’ve had precisely two people drop out over the last couple of days so you might be able to snag a last minute spot.

I won’t even attempt to summarise all that happened at SC24. For a start I wasn’t there and for another there are plenty of other people who have done a great job of that already, some news from SC24 is below though. Also some that didn’t make SC24 and I don’t quite know why. See our cloud release notes for some really interesting updates from both AWS and Azure.

If you’re not already on BlueSky that is the new place to be for the HPC community, so I’d recommend signing up.

Lastly and most importantly, we’re hiring! See below for details.
