Quantum #86

Issue #86 of the weekly HPC newsletter by HMx Labs. Its SC25 week, as if you didn’t already know! Also, its QuantMinds this week in London too. All the details on both as well as your regular HPC news and updates.

Quantum #86

While many of you have probably spent the weekend travelling to St Louis I have been ironing shirts and making sure I have a suit to wea. The dress code at Quant Minds is business smart. Needless to say, it’s been long enough since I last had to wear a suit that I had to go shopping 😆

Naturally there’s no shortage of content about SC25 and you can find all of that in the news below. I’m not too surprised at the amount of AI content at SC25, I am surprised at the amount of AI content at QuantMinds! Very curious to hear some of the speakers on the AI related topics in finance. If you’d like to catch up, I’ll be at QuantMinds on Monday and Tuesday.

HPC Club is coming up fast too (next week). Booked your place yet? Nvidia and AMD will be on the panel so I think we can have a pretty interesting conversation. Plus, Mugheesa might have some seasonal HPC Club merch too. Oh, and where else are you going to share all the SC25 gossip? 😁

Storage always seems to have healthy dose of controversy in HPC especially around the two big conferences (ISC and SC) so I guess VDURA are getting in there early with their marketing... but it’s an interesting read non the less
