Quantum #87
Issue #87 of the weekly HPC newsletter by HMx Labs. The post SC25 and pre HPC Club Edition!
HPC’s busiest week this year just drew to an end and I’m not even going to attempt to summarise it for you. I’m sure Mr Lockwood will be along shortly to do that 😁 I have however collected some of the more interesting announcements and articles and of course your HPC cloud release notes which are chock full (especially AWS).
More importantly though, we have HPC Club coming up on Wednesday and rather unusually we still have a few spots available. We’ll have both AMD and Nvidia on the panel to talk about the future of CPU, GPUs, APUs and any other kind PUs you’d like. If you need to make significant hardware purchase decisions, this is probably the most difficult time I’ve come across in my career. Want to get some clarity and ask two of the biggest companies driving supercomputing today? Come along and ask.

HPC Club slots rather nicely between SC25 and CIUK in the calendar so you can figure out what your future compute strategy is, catch up on the SC25 gossip and plan your trip Manchester for CIUK all in one go.
