Hiring: Growth & Relationships Coordinator
We’re looking to hire someone to help us get our house in order in terms of managing our client and partner relationships and our sales and marketing functions.
Following on from my request for some advice last week we have in fact decided to hire someone. With a lot help from humans (and a small amount from AI) we’ve pulled together the following job specification.

About Us
If you’re new around these parts and not already familiar with HMx Labs we are a boutique consultancy operating at the intersection of High Performance Computing, cloud ecosystems Performance Computing, cloud ecosystems and data. Our strengths include community driven initiatives like HPC Club and platform products such as Waltz in addition to our core capabilities in HPC and data classification and enterprise architecture. We are now looking for someone who can amplify these strengths, deepen our relationships, and help drive new business.

The Role
We are seeking an outgoing, proactive, self-motivated individual to take ownership of our partner relationships, marketing rhythm, and motivated individual to take ownership of our partner relationships, marketing rhythm, and early stage business development efforts. This is a hybrid role combining elements of:
- Partner Relationship & Alliances Management
- Marketing & Brand Activation
- Social Media Management
- Sales Development (SDR)
- Operations & Process Coordination
The goal is simple: strengthen our presence, nurture our ecosystem, generate leads, and free up time for the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner & Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, AMD, and others.
- Develop and operate a consistent rhythm of communication and touchpoints with partners, clients, and prospects.
- Ensure we always know what partners and clients are working on, struggling with, or planning next.
- Coordinate follow-ups, meetings, and joint opportunities to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
2. Marketing & Brand Activation
- Develop and execute a consistent marketing message across email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Take ownership of content scheduling, social posts, community engagement, and awareness campaigns.
- Design campaigns that do more than inform—they convert interest into leads.
- Leverage our community initiatives (HPC Club) and tools (Waltz) to create engaging narratives and attract new prospects.
3. Lead Generation & SDR Activities
- Actively identify new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and community engagement.
- Qualify inbound leads and nurture them through early stages.
- Support sales efforts by preparing briefs, summarising conversations, and ensuring pipeline hygiene.
4. Operations & Internal Coordination
- Implement processes that streamline partner management, marketing cadence, and follow-ups.
- Provide operational support to reduce workload on senior leadership (Hamza/Kam).
- Maintain documentation, tracking systems, CRM updates, and activity logs.
About You (What We’re Looking For)
Personality & Traits
- Very outgoing, comfortable speaking with partners, clients, and community members.
- Relationship driven—you enjoy building rapport and maintaining long-term connections.
- Highly proactive and self motivated—you take initiative without waiting to be asked.
- Organised and structured, able to manage many moving parts at once.
- Commercially minded, with a natural curiosity for technology and business ecosystems.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in marketing, partnerships, alliances management, SDR, or operations. Any mix of these is welcome.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, email marketing tools, or CRM systems is a plus.
- A passion for technology and community building (HPC, cloud, AI, or related areas) is a bonus—not required, but beneficial.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within your first 3–6 months, we would expect that:
- There is a repeatable, consistent partner engagement rhythm.
- We have clear visibility into partner/client needs and activity.
- Marketing is going out regularly and is producing real leads
- Our strengths and existing assets are being leveraged for growth opportunities.
- Leadership time is meaningfully freed up due to your ownership and organisation.
- We see measurable increases in engagement, pipeline activity, and partner collaboration.
Salary Range
Up to £40,000/year plus benefits
