HPC Club CPUs/GPUs: Call for Questions
Got a question you’d like answered about CPUs/GPUs/APUs in HPC? Want to put it forward for the next HPC Club?
HPC Club is coming up on 26 Nov and we will be talking about the future of silicon and computing in the HPC space. We already have Nvidia confirmed but I’m still hoping we will get other CPU/GPU manufacturers to attend also.
Got a question you’d like to ask? Let’s see if we can get as many as possible tabled so that we can make sure we try and cover the most popular, interesting and difficult ones 😁
Personally, I’m curious about how much compute we’ll see get offloaded to GPUs and other accelerators vs more convergence on APU type architectures (like Apple Silicon or AMD Instinct MI3000 as used in El Capitan).
So, what’s on your mind? Failure rates? Power consumption?
I’m sure you’d like to catch them out with your questions on the day and there will be an opportunity to do that too, but sometimes we get better answers when people can prepare.
