HMx Skunkworks
Time to bring the skunkworks back online!
The kids these days call it being in “stealth mode”. I find that funny because, to my mind at least, the original, the OG, “stealth mode” organisation was Lockheed Martin with their infamous Skunkworks. You know, the thing that actually invented real stealth mode for aircraft. 😉
Anyway, we’re no Lockheed Martin but if you’re going to pay tribute to an idea you should do it properly. And whilst we may be primarily a consultancy, we do have our very own little Skunkworks. HMx Skunkworks if you will. Which is kind of funny because many of our clients often hired us to perform a Skunkworks function within their own organisations. It’s almost a Skunkworks within a Skunkworks.
We’ve knocked out some (to my mind at least) impressive things too for our tiny size, including the COREx benchmark and a way to benchmark the entire cloud on a whim with any arbitrary workload .
Sadly, our little Skunkworks has been rather neglected, mothballed even, over the last year. So, I am beyond excited to announce that with Bryant Rivera joining the team we’re pulling the dust sheets off, blowing out the cobwebs and spinning up the servers again.
Watch this space. Or actually, no don’t. Top Secret and all that right. 😎
